Building Cage Racks

Stacking Cage Holders
We built 17" tall cages 24" square from 1"x ½" wire and used 24"
pans purchased at Atwoods below them.
One set of cages will take 3 ½ sticks of 10 foot ¾" pvc pipe
12 T- connectors for ¾" pipe
4 elbows for ¾" pipe
24- ¼" Washers
1/16 inch thick- 1" wide Aluminum angle
Cut
6- 24 3/8" pieces
8- 19 3/8" uprights
2- 17 ¼" stablilizers
4- 6" legs
4- top uprights 4-6" long
6- 20" pieces of aluminum angle

The T connectors are put on the ends of the 24 3/8" pieces

The legs (6") and 19 3/8" pieces are put on the pieces you have just made.

You should have 2 pieces that look like this when you are finished with this step- the 6" legs are on the
bottom and the top legs can be anywhere from 4-6" long.

We use a piece of pipe set as a gauge 1.75 " long to mark where the aluminum angle will be screwed into the
pvc pipe.

The aluminum angle cut, the ends smoothed and is pre-drilled.

We line the bottom of the angle up with the line and put about 3 washers between the screw and the angle so that
it holds the pans up better.

The tops of the cages are braced using the two 17 1/4" stablizers and elbows.
